Our friends (Curtis and Brent Ralston) and their cul-de-sac neighbors throw a party once a year and invite all their friends. There is music and the kids love to dance and play together. It is so much fun to watch!

She did so good being on stage and doing her routine. We have come a long way since she started (first performance was when she just turned 3). SHe had a big smile and was so cute. Her favorite part was getting to wear bright red lipstick!

May 22, 2011 Little Laken

Our sweet little guy is almost 2! He is such a cute and fun and happy baby but he is a lot of work. I may not be able to handle him if he wasn't so adorable! His hair has gotten longer and very curly (especially, when it gets hot) and he has already gotten tan for the summer. He is saying many words and making little sentences. He has no idea that he is not the same age of Landon and Lauren, he does everything they do. He can communicate by words or actions most anything he wants to tell us. We love our baby Laken!

May 20, 2011 Fun with Friends

Landon had a baseball game tonight and it got rained out so we got together with other friends on the team, The Dyer Family. It was a last minute, no planning, very simple, super casual get together with pizza and cookies. It was a blast, which is what happens when life just comes together. THe kids ran and played and screamed. At the end, we turned on some old tunes (Michael Jackson, Madonna) and the kids had a dance party and then a stage show. No one wanted it to end! 5-15-11 Landon's baseball tournament

Landon was in a baseball tournament at Bently Fields in Bixby this weekend. He played 5 games in 2 days. We all had a ball watching him but it wore out little Laken. Landon's team had some really great plays and they won 2nd place. They all got a trophy so it was very exciting. Landon hit his first home run during game 1 of the tournament. I had told him that if he could hit a home run in the game the week before that I would give him $100 but said nothing about this game. After running the bases, he got back to the dug out and his heart was pounding and he was pumped up. I went and congratulated him! A few minutes later, he hollered for me to come back and then asked "Mom, do I still get $100??). He later tried to negotiate to $50 (smart kid) but we haven't settled anything just yet. During the last game, he hit another home run and made a GRAND SLAM and then caught a pop fly and still tagged a kid out on 3rd! (DOUBLE PLAY). I was so excited and proud of him and mainly because he was so happy to have made these accomplishments. He also did a great job cheering on him team as runners would make it home and other great plays. We are lucky to have found such a great team with great parents.
