5-13-11 PJ Party hosted by Lauren Lee

Party Favors
Sundae Bar
Deluxe Sundae (I got all the toppings for a delicious sundae bar EXCEPT I forgot the ice cream and had to go back and get some a few days before the party. Turns out I could have done without the ice cream as they mainly ate toppings!)

Cute Invite that Lauren passed out to girls in her class

Lauren wanted to invite her whole class (of course) to her birthday party when she turned 6 years old and Mommy just couldn't do it (I went back and forth but with a home party, we have to control the numbers). I told her that maybe we could have her class over for an end of school (girls only). Well, she remembered that and we had a PJ party for all the girls in Mrs. Thiemann's Kindergarten class. There are 13 girls and 13 girls showed up. I think Lauren really pushed the party in her class so her teacher may have not liked the distraction but Lauren wanted ALL her friends to come. Another funny thing was that she is friends w/ a boy in her class name Baxter. Baxter's mom approached me about a week before the party and said it was fine, but was Baxter really the only boy invited to the PJ party. Shocked , I said "yes" because Lauren must have invited him and no there were no other boys invited (not even my 3 boys were allowed to come). We laughed but she was glad she asked b/f she brought him to the girl only party. Lauren said that he wanted to come and she had an extra invite so she handed it to him.

The party was a lot of fun. The girls had fun outside of class and were very excited and somewhat high pitched at times. They did chants, hugs, kisses, and a lot of chit chatting. We ate pizza, made ice cream sundaes, and watched Tangled. The party was from 6-8:30pm and all the girls were picked up and gone by 8:37pm. Lauren and I had the place all cleaned up and put back together before daddy and the boys even got back home. Luckily, Grandma Gomez came and helped out A LOT with the behind the scenes during the party.

Lauren and I are already planning her "end of school party" for next year. It was a great chance for her to start learning how to host. She even got a few hostess gifts that she was completely surprised about.
